M V V!

The following was (supposedly) the NUI way, our (former) Company's Missions, Visions, and Values (MVV) program that they were instituting during their last several years. The company had sent us to several meetings and often referred to MVV in their newsletters and postings. We believe it was suppose to apply to everyone but at times it seemed to be a selective mission (negatively towards the Union personnel). The areas below in yellow are things that tended to vary or were in doubt. There is no exaggeration in these views. Examples behind the highlighted items are not given because there are just too many. We feel that if a Company is going to promote something like this, and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on it, they should live by their own standards. We believe it's a good concept and in the end benefits us all, it just was not followed through by the management of NUI. Although NUI no longer owns our company, We have left this up for nostalgia reasons only.

Update: February 2005

Our new company has begun sending employees to a similar seminar. Despite them saying that it's not M V V, the similarities are there (minus the band and boom whackers). We're not saying that's a bad thing, we just wanted to note the arrival of it. Maybe one day, we can put up a comparison chart to see how many highlighted areas the new company has. Hopefully there will be none. All aboard!
